The Union Fire Company boasts a proud history of over 215 years. The Company was organized in 1789 and later became incorporated by a special act of Pennsylvania legislature in 1840. It still operates today under the same name and charter as when the Company was established.

The Union Fire Company maintains a historical museum in part of its old station that was built in 1888. The museum encompasses two floors with artifacts dating back to its organization in 1789. Both adults and children will find many articles of interest, including old leather fire buckets, Cairns High Eagle Helmets, meeting documents, and many ribbons. The museum also houses several other items which tell of the history of both the Union Fire Company and Carlisle.

Museum Hours: 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
