Alverstone Wildlife Park is a 100ha nature reserve with a mix of grassland and scarp forest, and is home to a wide variety of bird and animal species. There are three waterfalls and two dams within the reserve. A pair of Fish Eagles is often present.

Driving Directions: Take the N3 west from Durban to Pietermaritzburg.
From the N3 take the Shongweni off-ramp. Travel north past the
Assagay Hotel and over the M13. Turn left onto the D435 towards
Alverstone. Follow this road to the park entrance on the left.
