The site is located east of Whitewater Avenue on Bark River Drive behind Memorial Park. Any property serviced by Veolia Services as their garbage contractor, is permitted to dispose of yard waste at the City’s compost site. The final day the site will be open is Saturday, December 1, 2012 (weather permitting). The hours are:

Wednesdays 3 p.m. to dusk
Saturdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Computers
Laptop computers
Printers/printer combos
Computer peripherals
DVD players
Digital video recorders
VCRs
Fax machines
Cell phones
Microwaves
No Salvaging Allowed
Brush Pickup
The city provides brush pickup to the north side of the city during the 1st full week of each month and to the south side of the city during the 2nd full week of each month. Only brush that is more than 3/4" in diameter at the cut end and more than 3' in length should be put out for brush pick-up. Anything smaller will plug the chipper and must be taken to the Compost Site or City Garage by the resident. Brush should be put at the curb, piled neatly, with the cut end facing the street. Residents should call the City Garage (563-7771) to leave their address before the Monday of their scheduled pick-up.

YARD WASTE MATERIALS
Grass Clippings, Leaves, Garden and Flower Plant Material can be placed on- Main Compost
Pile. (No Rocks, Gravel, Cement, Food Waste, Kitchen Waste, or Trash of any kind
including Plastic Bags).
TREE BRANCHES, BRUSH TRIMMINGS
Branches up to 4” dia. And Brush Trimmings of any size placed on Brush Pile.
(No Lumber, Construction or Building Materials of any Kind)
Tree Limbs or Trunk Wood larger than 4” dia. placed on Wood Pile.
Materials for Pick-up at Compost Site
UNSCREENED COMPOST
Unscreened Compost can be taken from- Main Finished Compost Pile.
(Screened Compost can be purchased at the City Garage 563-7771, beginning mid-year)
WOOD CHIPS
Wood Chips for Mulch from- Main Wood Chip Pile.
FIREWOOD
Firewood can be taken from- Main Wood Pile.
