The hawking, using trained hawks, which is called ‘winged hunters’ is a sport enjoyed by countless kings such as King Seongjong, King Gyeongmyeong, has enjoyed by the nobility as well as the royal court. During the Goryeo Dynasty, there was a place that falcons are grown up in the Incheon Gyeongmyeong since this place is selected as the best place because of searching for places. Hawking was widespread during the Goryeo Dynasty, and the 26th king enjoyed it since he was the prince. After his marriage, he gave his servants a mission to make place for hawking. They liked Mt. Gyeyang of Bupyeong because of the dove and the rabbit, and the great scenic view of the sea in the west. After that, Eungbang was made in Mt. Gyeyang, and the king came here five times. He said " You created a hunting ground in such a nice place. I like it. " The king loved Mt. Gyeyang very much. Then he raised the status of Gyeyang place and the road where Eungbang was locate in got the name of Gyeongmyeonghyeon. But, since people who lived near Mt. Gyeyangsan use the name ‘Jing Maei Hill’ rather than ‘GyeongmyeongHyun’, it is called as‘Jing Maei Hill’. The name seems to be emerged from the word ‘Jing Mae’. Currently, only two hawking experts in Korea were designated as the expert of the natural-oriented Intangible Cultural Heritage of Fame and have continued the tradition of hawking.

To protect themselves, kings polished up several martial art, especially archery. There is a place where the king shot the bow in Gyeyang, that is Osadae. Now Osadae is located in Bupyeong Elementary school in Gyeyang with Bupyeong Dohobu Office and Yokeunji Pond. It was said that King Jeongjo held a memorial service at Jangleung in August 1797 and passed to Bupyeong and Ahnsan, served as a memorial service at the Hyeonlyuwon(mausoleum of King Jeongjo’s father) in Suwon Hwaseong. At that time, King Jeongjo had rested in Bupyeong and departed for Ahnsan, he stoped by Osadae to enjoy archery and wash his hands in Yokeunji Pond. Unfortunately, current management status of here was poorly managed. The long flowing willow hide there, and there was trash and food scraps on the ground. Yokeunji Pond was filled with trash thrown out from outside instead of water. To preserve the historical value of Osadae, we should assign manager of the management office, and he reinvents the water in the Pond. Based on the fact that it is located in Bupyeong Elementary School, make it use as an archery practice place. Also, advertise local cultural assets. Post to promote to reconstruct Osadae asset in the Budget Office of the Gyeyang District Office or Incheon City Hall.
