Little known fact- Philadelphia is home to the oldest art museum and school in the country, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA). It is still an art school and features student exhibitions throughout the year in addition to its permanent collection. And it is not just the art that is beautiful; the building was designed by acclaimed Philadelphia architect Frank Furness in 1876, and remains an example of one of his finest works.
