Descripción
日據時期，屏東市役所設有衛生課及屏東郡役所警察課設衛生技手。
民國三十四年，屏東市政府接收上述機關及有關人員。
民國三十五年五月一日成立屏東市衛生院，內設醫政、防疫、保健、總務四股。
民國三十九年十月，屏東市衛生院改為屏東縣衛生院。
民國五十一年九月衛生院改制為衛生局。
民國九十七年三月衛生局改為屏東縣政府衛生局。
