Barrios Lastarria is a traditional neighborhood in Santiago, Chile. This area was developed in the middle of the XIX century and it has kept the traditional buildings from that period. Most of its streets are only pedestrians which make it very pleasant from visitors. Today is not only a national heritage area that has kept an important part of the Chilean culture throughout the years, but also an important zone for restaurants, theaters, bookstores, art galleries, antique fair and flea market, and other cultural activities. Day and night, Barrio Lastarria is one of the trendiest areas in Santiago. Barrio Lastarria is easy to access by Universidad Catolica Subway station, with the 1 train.
