La Chascona Museum


Descripción
La Chascona museum is one of the houses were the Chilean Nobel price poet Pablo Neruda lived (awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1971). The creation of the house was commended to the Catalan architect German Rodriguez in 1953 nevertheless Neruda had a significant influence in the construction and interior design of the house and gardens. The house represents an important icon of one of the most influent poet in the Chilean culture. Additionally, the Museum has a souvenir, crafts and book store and a Cafe. La Chascona is easy to access by Baquedano or Salvador Subway station, with the 1 train.
