With twelve and a half acres of fruit and vegetable plants, the Center for Urban Agriculture at Fairview Gardens was established in 1997 in an effort to preserve Fairview Gardens. Surrounded by homes, malls, and suburban activity, this farm supplies the surrounding community with fresh organic fruits and vegetables. Some of the produce they sell includes tomatoes, peppers, melons, strawberries, mandarins, lettuce, and various greens. Not only serving the community with their produce, Fairview Gardens also offers tours and community education in order to have a greater impact on the overall idea of organic nutrition.
