仕紳蔡流伯的故居

蔡流伯老先生是當地傳奇人物，生於日治時期，根據後裔描述，老先生時常帶著斗笠，夾層塞滿錢鈔，頭纏布衣(頭巾)、束腰巾的鄉土打扮，生性節儉不坐車，出入都打赤腳步行。據說蔡老先生曾經為了溪湖某家豬肉攤價錢便宜，就步行前往，一口氣買了半隻豬肉回來，這就是蔡流伯奇特的表現。蔡老先生是一個大地主，擁有相當廣闊的土地，遠到目前的秀水鄉地區，而現今的國安宮旁(東門村)則是二次大戰時美軍轟炸機墜毀之地，就是早期蔡流伯老先生的椪柑地，當地流傳不少他的傳奇故事。
