Ice Age Trail - Wisconsin’s Ice Age Trail is a continuous 1,000 mile footpath that travels through parts of Portage County’s diverse landscape. The trail provides many opportunities for outdoor recreation, preserves fascinating geological features, and serves as a habitat for Wisconsin’s native species. The trail was once shaped by glaciers which sculpted its valleys and hills. The Ice Age Trail also serves as an excellent educational resource as it links Wisconsin’s culture and natural history together. Bikes are permitted.
