Organic vegetables and herbs. Let food be your medicine.

Living food gardens is a venture started by Amanda Phoenix from Trinity Estate and Carol Segal from Khulu Shanti farm in Boston South Africa. Our mission is to share our organic produce with like minded people as customers who are interested in maintaining good health through organic foods and vegetables we supply in a box system delivered weekly to appointed drop off locations.

All our produce is grown organically and fed with natural mountain spring water only. All food and veggies are grown and supplied seasonally and supplied freshly picked. Stock is preselected based on our seasonal growing scheme, but we do entertain special requests if available. Our included herbs are of culinary application option but we are capable of including medicinal options when requested. Our product is definitely of the highest quality and grown with love and gratitude.

Our food gardens are used as model gardens to teach and educate people from all over through talks and training educations courses. We do quarterly food demonstrations as taste sensation events where we focus on cooking and serving a certain herb. These vents will be published through our news letters and this blog.

Living Food Gardens also has a supply group of growers whom are schooled and qualified to produce vegetables, herbs and other produce in a strict principal of organic management with zero tolerance for chemical pesticides and fertilizers.

We share our ideas on food preparation through an included news letter in our box supply scheme. Our purpose is to educate through our communications such as our news letter and this blog.

As we are what we eat – our aim is to assist with knowledge of food value and it benefits to make available good alternative food stock other that what is available in the Agrochemical food chain. “Let food be thy medicine” is our motto.
