Mercer Oak
Vue d'ensemble
The Mercer Oak was a large white oak tree in Battlefield State Park that was approximately 300 years old when it was felled by strong winds in March 2000. The Mercer Oak is the emblem of Princeton Township, and is also a key element in the seal of Mercer County. In May 2000, an 8 foot sapling grown from an acorn of the Mercer Oak was planted in the stump of the original tree.
