Riverdale Recreation Center
Overview
The Riverdale Recreation Center is a large park with a wide range of athletic fields and courts, plus a trail, playground, and recreation center. Specifically, the park is equipped with a basketball court, football/soccer combination field, volleyball court, horseshoe pit, and a long distance trail. Also included are outdoor tennis courts, picnic areas, a playground, and softball diamonds. By using this park, visitors and residents of Riverdale alike can exercise, enjoy the outdoors, and spend quality time with the community in a green way. This park is a great example of how social well-being and equity is promoted, all by conserving a large area from development and protecting its ecosystem.
