The Brooklyn Greenway will be a 14-mile path for recreation and transportation, which will run from Greenpoint to Sunset Park. The plan is that the Brooklyn Greenway is going to be at least 30 ft wide and will include a path for bikes, a pedestrian path, and a landscaped area. The Greenway will serve as an important transportation route for commuters to and from Red Hook. Cyclists and pedestrians will be able to use the Brooklyn Greenway to go all the way from Van Brunt Street to Red Hook Park, with stops at points of interest such as Valentino Pier or Fairway Market. The Brooklyn Greenway will provide waterfront access to the Red Hook community.

i biked for 14 miles the other day all the way from long island city to red hook

The green way is not yet complete, but the 14 miles that we did bike was absolutely exhilarating. I thoroughly enjoyed the bike path that took me all through Brooklyn!

-

ohhh and it was fun as hell

The ride wasn't bad it was just too hot!!! Another bad thing was Adrian getting hurt really bad. He damaged some brain cells. I was on the double bike and fell once, but it was okay. The double bike is the fastest bike!!! I was at the front at one point. The greenway will be a big success once it is done.

the brooklyn greenway is something i think any brooklyn resident should experience when it is completed. it will have 14 miles worth of bicycle riding and fun. you can always take at a break at the local recycle-a-bicycle shops to check out all the cool bikes they have to offer there
