Tampa Bay Time (skills exchange)
Vue d'ensemble
Tampa Bay Time is a community skills exchange, typically known as a “time bank,” which is available throughout the Tampa Bay area. Members save money while expanding their circle of friends. They offer what they do well and ask for help they need. In the process expand their ability to handle inflation, illness, job loss, hurricanes, etc.
How does Tampa Bay Time work?
When you help a member you earn an hour’s credit for each hour you spend. You can then exchange your hours for services from other members. Your hour is equal to every other so the rich don’t get richer and the poor don’t get poorer in Tampa Bay Time. TBT members extend trust and reciprocity across social, economic, ethnic and linguistic lines, weaving community one hour at a time.
TBT is a member of Time Banks USA, an international network with members in 22 countries on 6 continents. Time Banking is a social change movement.
