Hiking trails make it easy to explore the woods and relax in a natural setting. The trails lead you through the forested area that is open from dawn til dusk. A small portion of Towson Run also meanders through the Glen Woods. A challenge ropes course open to public non-profit and other groups is also nestled amongst the trees of the Glen Woods. Groups can work as a team building skills, communication, creative problem solving skills, self-esteem development, group dynamics and decision making, leadership development while in an experimental education setting.
The Glen Woods is home to the region's largest arboretum, containing 23 native species of tree found in Maryland, and has been used by the Towson community as an outdoor learning environment for many years.
