Cape Forchu is a popular tourist destination because of the lighthouse. However, it also a very interesting geological feature. It is composed of volcanic rock. The particular features that are fun to hunt for are the remnants of "volcanic bombs" that fell back into the molten lava as it hardened. This is an earthcache site (GC11K5K) at www.geocaching.com which provides much more detail.
