Blue Water Baltimore Watershed Center

Overview
Blue Water Baltimore’s purpose is to use community based restoration, education, and advocacy to achieve clean water in Baltimore’s rivers, streams, and harbor, so that citizens of the Baltimore region will enjoy a vibrant natural environment, livable neighborhoods, and a healthy, thriving Inner Harbor and Chesapeake Bay. It was formed in 2010 through a merger of the Jones Falls, Direct harbor, Herring Run and Gwynns Falls Watershed Associations. The Center also is home to the Baltimore Harbor Waterkeeper.
BWB mobilizes volunteers to patrol our streams for pollution, organizes trash cleanups, and provides a helping hand to property owners who want to do their part to reduce polluted runoff from their properties. Through outreach programs, BWB organizes tree and rain garden plantings, rain barrel workshops, and other environmental education projects.
