Gentle Hike in Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park
Join the Friends of Gwynns Falls Leakin Park as they explore the Gwynns Falls Trail and woodland trails observing nature and tracing the history of the park and trails. Gentle walks are held every Thursday from 9-10AM and leave from Winans Meadow in Leakin Park at 4500 N. Franklintown Rd., 21229, weather permitting. The walk will be tailored to the participants' needs. Winans Meadow is in the middle of the park and can be reached via a one mile walk (approx. 17 min.) from the #40 bus stop at Briarcliff and Cooks Lane. Walk east on Briarcliff on side walks to the entrance of the park. Take a dedicated trail along the road downhill to Franklintowntown Road. Cross the road and go east bound (left, towards town) on the Gwynns Falls Trail to get to the Winans Meadow parking lot. To register and more information contact Heide Grundmann at or 410-945-0586.
