Barclay & Oliver Streets
Baltimore
MD 21202
BOG (Barclay/Oliver Garden)
Overview
A good example of growing both food and community interaction after buildings had been demolished, first the lot was cleared, de-trashed, and trees were planted. The mural was created during the Station North Arts & Entertainment District Open Walls Baltimore Project by Jaz of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2012. When the lot became overgrown in 2013, no one taking responsibility for it, "BOG" was created. Organic soil was brought in, neighbors spread it and created garden plots where food and flowers are now grown.
