Juscelino Kubitscheck bridge

Overview
This architectural landmark was founded in 2002. Designed by Brazilian architect Alexandre Chan, it won Brazilian Association of Metal Construction prize, in 2003, and was elected most beautiful bridge in the world by the Engineering Society of the State of Pennsylvania (USA) in 2004. It is named after former president Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira, and resembles a stone skipping over a water surface. The 0.75 mile bridge crosses Paranoa lake, has a pedestrian walkway and is accessible to bicyclists and skaters. It is also located at one of the most beautiful, quiet and pleasant areas of Brasilia, offering beautiful views of the sunset, the lake and city. Nearby restaurants offer traditional Brazilian food.
