Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska Inc. operates programs for individuals who face barriers to employment by providing services which equip them with the tools needed in order to obtain employment, thus adding to lower unemployment rates and less reliance on government assistance within the Lincoln community. Additionally, Goodwill contributes to ecological balance through massive recycling efforts of unsalable textiles and other products.

The sale of donated goods remains the greatest source of funding for the programs Goodwill provides. In addition, Goodwill has given grants to colleague agencies to help with their own programs that align with Goodwill’s mission of willing workers employed and community resources maximized.

Goodwill offers free home pick-ups within the city of Lincoln for large items that do not fit in a passenger vehicle. Call (402) 438-2022 for availability.

Goodwill recycles cardboard, televisions, computers and other electronics, clothing, textiles, shoes, books, hard toys, stuffed animals, metal, glass and porcelain. In 2012, Goodwill diverted over 4.6 million pounds of waste from the landfills.

Goodwill Industries Serving Southeast Nebraska, Inc. is a member of the Dell Reconnect Program which offers free residential computer recycling. Since this partnership began in 2011, Goodwill has recycled 375,611 pounds of computers and computer related electronics.
