Cape Town Stadium

Overview
It took blood, sweat and fears, but the building of Cape Town stadium was completed before the whistle for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Today, the 55 000-seater facility is a modern monument of functional design and exceptional engineering. Its aesthetic features include translucent cladding and a glass roof. As a frequent host to local and international sporting, music and other events, it has played a big part in transforming the Green Point precinct into a vibrant and highly functional area.
