Bike St. Louis
Overview
Bike St. Louis is a partnership between the Great Rivers Greenway District and various municipalities. 80 miles of on-street bicycle facilities have been developed in the cities of St. Louis, Clayton, Maplewood, and Kirkwood. The Great Rivers Greenway has a numerous safety brochures to ensure proper safety measures are taken on the Greenway. There is also a map of Bike St. Louis available at bicycle shops and visitors centers. There are routes in and around the Down Town area. "The Great Rivers Greenway District is the public organization leading the development of a region-wide system of interconnected greenways, parks and trails, known as the River Ring." The Phase II expansion creates connections with the MetroLink and Metro Bus. It also adds many paths in neighborhoods, business districts, educational, cultural and recreation amenities. It also has on-street connections with the McKinley Bridge Bikeway and North Riverfront Trail. Bike St. Louis is a safe way to bike around the St. Louis area. There are lots of signs to lead you along the way to safe bicycling.
