Sassafras Restaurant

Overview
Located just inside the entrance building of the Missouri Botanical Gardens, Sassafras has the honor of being the first Certified Green Restaurant in Missouri, an honor awarded by the Green Restaurant Association. There are many ways in which Sassafras strives to be eco-friendly, such as through the use of 100% post-consumer recycled napkins, the use of reusable and rewashable dishes and silverware, and the recycling of all plastic, steel, aluminum, glass and plastic containers it uses, as well as all office paper and cooking grease.
The menu at Sassafras offers a variety of foods for the health-conscious consumer, such as a large variety of soups, sandwiches, and salad, which are all offered at a very reasonable price.
