Funeral Parlors
Overview
In the 1930’s the Chinese began to run their own funeral parlors. The first undertaker in the community was not Chinese and located at 2 Mulberry St. The funeral parlor at #36 Mott St. was originally established in 1975. The funeral parlor at #26 Mott street was established in 1955. From the funeral parlors most of the coffins are taken to the Evergreen Cemetery in Brooklyn.
