Prairie Pioneer Museum

Overview
Craik's Museum was founded in 1966 and opened in 1967. It was created by volunteer labor and financial support of local citizens. This excellent exhibit portrays the pioneer way of life. The museum is mainly comprised of the many items donated by local people and former residents. The main building is two rural schools-Sprattsville and Cherry Grove. The Heritage House, built in 1906, was added in 1974; restored to the original appearance, furnished authentically, opened in 1977. The third building was added to the complex for a much needed storage area. The scheduled hours of opening during the summer months are Sundays from 2-4 p.m. The museum is accessable year round by request.
