Mt. Loretto - Sisters of the Presentation
Overview
At Mt. Loretto, the Sisters of the Presentation motherhouse, the sisters are taking several steps to be more sustainable. They maintain a small organic garden and purchase meat and other produce from local farmers. They compost and recycle year-round and have installed more energy efficient light bulbs in their facility. During remodeling, new double-layered windows were installed making their home more energy efficient. A new facility built on their property uses the geothermal process.
