Roosfontein is a 150ha nature reserve comprising predominantly grassland habitat. Of interest are the spring wild flowers and the many grassland birds, including Broadtailed Warbler.

Driving Directions: Take the N3 west from Durban to Westville. Take the Westville/Pavilion off-ramp and turn left into Harry Gwala Road (Spine Road). Travel on this road past Westville Hospital and turn right into Spine Road at the traffic lights. Follow the signs to the
Westville Prison and park outside the Prison gates in the parking on the left of the gate.
