This area shows important geological features, with steep forested slopes, small gorges, cliffs and a stream. Very rare species have been surveyed in this area. It is considered a green corridor and has a cultural value to residents.
Octopus Cliff is considered very vulnerable to human disturbance but the Scenic Byway passes through the site, which allows to have a look at it without going within it.
