Talking Drums builds cultural awareness, self-esteem, discipline, focus, and social skills for youth through drumming lessons, drum making and performance. Teaching various rhythms and drumming techniques on a variety of African drums to children and adults who are often impacted directly by poverty, violence and other issues, can offer healing and hope. African percussion is highly motivating and can have a calming and therapeutic effect. Moziah Saleem is the Director. Some programs take place at Paul's Place, the site mapped, but contact him through Fusion Partnerships.
