The Goshen Clay Artists Guild was formed in 1998, when a group of local artists with varying degrees of expertise decided to join together and share studio space, ideas, and techniques. Thus the guild was formed, and we've been growing steadily ever since. In 2004 we had a building constructed solely for our art, located at 212 W. Washington St.
The guild offers beginner and intermediate classes, open to the public 4 times a year, for 3 month sessions. Our instructors are all well qualified, and extrememly helpful. Learn to throw on the potter's wheel. For more information contact Liz Hess at 574-825-4855 or ehess@egh.org
Twice a year we open our studio space to the public in our semi-annual show and sale. We now coincide our Fall show with the Goshen Open Studio Tour.
Weekly, visitors can purchase pottery from Guild Members at the Goshen Farmers Market where the Guild has a permanent booth. The market is open year round on Saturdays 8am-1pm and on Tuesdays 3-7p.m. from May- October.
