A Island is known as a piece of land surrounded by water. Normally one would expect to see a island located in the oceans near tropical areas. However Dunklin County Missouri has there own special island, This island is formed by a split in the St.Francis River. It is approximately 5.7 kilometers long and longest width at 1.5 kilometers. The island sits 249 feet (76 meters) above sea level. It is surrounded by other islands such as Boland island and Gum Island. It is also near farm lands and to the left of the island is Quinn Field airport. It is located in Cardwell according to the USGS Topo Map Quad and GNIS ID is 720137.
