A Riparian Forest is an area of wooded land that sits near or adjacent to a body of water. These areas have a tendency to flood and because of this the organisms have adapted to flood conditions. The Riparian Forest marked here sits on the western side of the Mississippi River in the Dupont Reservation Conservation Area.
