Frontier Harley Davidson
Overview
The building’s HVAC uses a high-efficiency, geothermal system engineered to reduce energy usage by 35%, low-flow toilets and faucets contributing to a 20% savings in water usage and 90% of the regularly occupied areas in the dealership
utilize natural daylight and have views to the outside. For the artificial lighting that is required, energy-saving Energy Star fixtures were used.
The commissioning aspect of the project begins at the early stages of design and continues until the project is successfully completed and accepted by the Owner. Documentation during pre-design, design and completion of the installation is vital. The pre-design phase notes primary issues that are important to the Owner and the design phase implements these issues into the bid document specifications. The startup and testing of a project is vital to successful operation. Including plant operators during this process assures that when problems occur after the project is completed, trouble-shooting by plant personnel is more productive and produces better results.
