As a green business partner, Bee Ridge Vision Center is doing their part to lesson impacts on the environment. Lens cloths from vendors and eye glass cases are reused or donated. They refills lens cleaner bottles for patients eliminating the need for new bottles. The Bee Ridge Vision Center has cut down on paper waste by implementing digital filing, billing and e-prescriptions. The staff at the Bee Ridge Vision Center chooses to use green cleaning products and use reusable lunch containers and bags. After receiving the results of their free FPL energy audit, Bee Ridge Vision Center has begun to make changes to more efficient lighting, further reducing their impact on the environment.

Bee Ridge Vision Center became a Sarasota County Green Business Partner in 2013. The Green Business Partnership (GBP) encourages environmental stewardship in the commercial sector, and recognizes businesses that make an extra effort to operate in an environmentally responsible manner. This collaborative effort includes businesses, business organizations and local governments. The GBP was initiated through a grant awarded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to Sarasota County. For more information about the Green Business Partnership visit:
