Riverside-Inwood Neighborhood Garden (RING)
Overview
RING is one of the only community gardens in Inwood with a school educations program. RING provides a unique educational opportunity for the inner city youth - to teach them a sense of respect for plants, wildlife, and the natural environment. The garden expanded their composting capability to meet increased demand for composting by local residents and to reduce the waste stream in the neighborhood. Winner of Manhattan SWAB 2012 Composting Grant Award.
