Pinnacle Sports was started in April of 1993 as a mail order business through Adrian's contacts in the triathlon circuit. The volume of sales grew so rapidly that a store became a neccessity, not an option, and Pinnacle Sports opened for business in Sudbury's Four Corners area in the building that is now owned by Gatien Law Firm.

The next big change came in March of 1994, when the store relocated further down Long Lake road in the strip of stores across from Ester street. Selling triathlon apparel, footwear, mountain and road cycles, x-c skis, and snowboards, this location proved to simply be too small, and Pinnacle Sports was to once again change locations.

July of 1997 was the opening of a new home of Pinnacle Sports at 2037 Long Lake Road, a far cry from the early days of mail order. Adding wakeboards and skateboards into the mix in 1998, Pinnacle was well on it's way to becoming the biggest core shop in Northern Ontario, let alone the Sudbury region.
