Fishing Vessel Lucy B.
Overview
The Lucy B. was built in Buxton by Mike Scott for Bernice Ballance in 1980. Scott patterned the boat after older, deep deadrise boats, like the Albatross Fleet, on Hatteras Island. Today the boat is owned and captained by Rob West. West fishes in the Atlantic Ocean, gillnetting for spanish mackerel, bluefish, croaker, gray trout, spiny dogfish, striped bass, and other species, and trolling for king mackerel.
