The Neo-Shavian features and the tile wall fabric combine to render this residence distinctive. According to local sources, the tile was imported from England.
Residence was designed for Fredrick W. Mayes by the architect Dudley S. Van Antwerp. It was Mr. Mayes home for many years.
This historic house, built in approximately 1910, is listed on the State Register of Historic Places.
