The reserve's headquarters at Norrie Point Environmental Center within Mills-Norrie State Park in Staatsburgh, Dutchess County, is located directly on the Hudson River and includes conference and classroom space, interpretive exhibits, and a weather station. Construction on a research lab began in 2007 and is expected to be completed in 2008.
