Overview

“Studies show that for each carshare vehicle, up to 15 privately owned vehicles come off the road. Members often find they no longer need a car, or a second car. By helping people “kick the car-owning habit,” carsharing reduces vehicle usage, fossil fuel use, and greenhouse gas emissions. Carsharing helps reduce traffic congestion, improving local air quality. Carsharing reduces traffic, wear-and-tear on roads, and frees up parking space.And then, there’s the feel-good factor: You’ll contribute to a healthier planet without giving up the freedom of a car. That does feel good!”
