Zola Eco Park
Overview
Launched on 5 December 2012, the music-themed Zola Eco Park features playgrounds in the shape of saxophones, drums and guitars and fencing depicting music notes, celebrating the rich origins of ‘kwaito music’ in Zola.
The Eco-Park boasts landscaped lawns with an amphitheatre and open-air stage; picnic and braai facilities; ablution facilities; a mini-soccer field; a multipurpose court; 2 playgrounds; parking facilities and a community-based, fenced in food garden. This vibrant recreation node in the heart of Zola also includes a pedestrian walkway that will connect adjacent communities across the biodiversity-rich, marshy wetlands in the area.
