Overview

Damm i Augustenborg

The residential area Augustenborg, built mainly in the 1950’s, used to suffer from flooding during heavy rainfalls. The problems have been solved thanks to the so-called open stormwater system. The water is led in visible canals and ponds. As water is visible it makes the neighbourhood nicer and at the same time it favours the biodiversity. Augustenborg is one of few examples of an already existing area getting an open stormwater system. In order to get inspiration and ideas for future development, different solutions were made in the area.
