Parc Llewelyn

Overview
In 1874 John Dillwyn Llewelyn, Swansea's famous photographer, donated and land and money to establish a park for the local community.
A community park, which has a bowling green, children’s play area, community centre, orienteering course, tennis courts and an accessible wildlife and wetland area. Based on a hillside, it has tremendous views over the city and bay.
The park also has a narrow strip of woodland consisting of mature broadleaved trees and conifers. The dead wood that has been kept in the woodland provides a great habitat for fungi and insects. At the western boundary of the site, there is a stream.
Parc Llewellyn has recently been awarded Green Flag status for 2017.
