Overview
On June 29, 2007 the Cleveland Indians celebrated the installation of their
new solar electric system at Progressive Field - the first American League ballpark to go solar.
Enough to power all of the 400 television sets throughout the ballpark during games.

2008 recycling efforts by the Indians have saved 712 trees, 293,000 gallons of water, 176,000 KW hours of energy, 142
cubic yards of landfill space, and 17,000 gallons of fuel.
