Youth Opportunities Unlimited

Overview
Our mission is to empower youth - disadvantaged youth born into poverty - to succeed in school, in the workplace, and in life.
Founded in 1982, Y.O.U. occupies a unique niche in Cuyahoga County: youth workforce development. We serve teens in poverty and therefore at risk, both in-school and out-of-school youth. We focus on the areas of greatest poverty in Cuyahoga County: the City of Cleveland, specifically its inner city, where 75% of the City's children live at or below poverty; and East Cleveland, where almost 44% of all children live below the poverty line.
