Located in the Hip West Village location near the High Line, The Spotted Pig opened in 2004 by British-born, yet now NYC local, Chef and author, April Bloomfield, The Spotted Pig received its first Michelin Star in 2005.The restaurant is a seasonal British and Italian gastropub serving local ingredients whenever possible. A restaurant with a "Head to Tail" philosophy, it is a true "farm to table restaurant" supporting local initiatives and sustainability, and utilizes forager. All syrups and juices are fresh squeezed. Although, it is a heavy meat establishment, vegetarians can be comfortable with vegetarian options. The restaurant also Recycles/Repurposes materials, uses Ceiling fans, and has unisex bathrooms.
