There is an long and strong tradition of storytelling on Ocracoke. Almost any O'cocker has a story to tell - and will tell it to a patient and curious listener. Storytelling also takes place at the Deepwater Theater - check their schedule at . Donald Davis, a nationally known storyteller, lives on Ocracoke and can be heard now and then at Deepwater Theater. He also holds a storytelling workshop twice each year.
